Achieving musical success requires a “systems” approach; each component behaves synergistically with every other. This is simultaneously a potential blessing, as well as being a frustrating (and potentially expensive) curse!
Boutique Audio Temple offers 3 key services to ensure your complete success and satisfaction:
1. Listen in Person - with your choice of music
Make an appointment and listen to YOUR choice of music: Streaming, CD, or Vinyl LP in a very typical New England style living room. A room that can be lived in and used for daily life while offering surreal musical nirvana! Hear high-quality, high-value, American-made components in a room that will likely sound very much like YOUR room.
We have a large collection of over 400 CD’s and 2000+ LPs, but you are welcome to bring your own playlist items for streaming (we use Qobuz via iPad, but you can use your phone/device with your own selections as well), your own CD’s and/or your own LPs. We confidently guarantee you’ve never heard them sound this real!
By special appointment, you are welcome to bring your DAC, Amplifier, or even Pre-amp to “test out” in our system. Or should you wish to hear how our curated electronics might sound on your existing speakers, you can bring them for evaluation. Depending on specific components, there may be a nominal fee to offset the manual changes required for insertion into our reference systems. (Pre-amplifiers are hardest to swap in/out; speakers are the easiest.)
2. Setup & Room Consultation
Quality “high-end” stereo systems are increasingly more complex, with multiple cross-component synergies (and potential mismatches). And, more than any other synergy, the “match” between speakers and rooms massively impacts the sound experience – in fact, more than any other variable. We therefore offer zero-cost room consultations (via email, phone, or conversationally during your visit). We also offer consultation at your home (as well as complete home system setup) for a nominal charge.
3. Turntable & CartridgeInstallation& Setup
The resurgence of Vinyl LP playback in the last few years has created a challenge for today’s buyers: purchase a “complete” turntable/arm/cartridge preinstalled and simple to set up, or become an expert at the (quite arcane) installation of cartridges, tonearms, and turntables. While they do offer a relatively simple setup, complete-package turntable systems simply cannot match the sonic quality of carefully chosen separate Turntables, Arms, and cartridges.
With over 50 years of experience configuring high-end Turntables – from Rega, VPI, Oracle, and SOTA- we have the expertise to properly install and setup any turntable, tonearm, and cartridge for a nominal fee.
